Memories of the Futurecast

I discovered this podcast today quite by accident. I had heard on the “picture-in-picture commentary” for Stand By Me that Will Wheaton had a podcast called “Radio Free Burrito”  while listening to one of those I heard about or read on one of his blogs about the “Memories of the Futurecast” that he also did.  The Radio Free Burrito is a little too geek centric for me.  He talks a lot about things that i am not into such as Warhammer 40k, which I have only passingly heard of through a friend.  Not generally my cup of tea but I will probably give a few a listen to see if it gets better through my Jambox while doing house work or something.

“Memories of the Futurecast” is a companion piece to Will Wheaton’s book Memories of the Future Vol 1 book.   This book and by extension the podcast is Will Wheaton’s memoirs and behind the scenes stories of his time on Star Trek: The Next Generation (ST:TNG), coupled with synopses of each episode of Season 1, as well as sometimes snarky, commentary of the episode.    Will Wheaton is quite the wordsmith and is funny and not afraid to make fun of himself or the character of Wesley Crusher from ST:TNG.  I admire that.

Memories of the Futurecast is available here.   It is also available on iTunes for those who are slaves to Apple.
