The new semester of nursing school has started. This semester is until Dec 14.

We had a long and for the most part boring Adult Health orientation.  We did have a fun time showing the teacher our assessment skills on each other and clowning around with the manikins. (I got some fun pics)  We also had a mental health orientation where we did therapeutic communication scenarios and then she led us though a relaxing guided imagery exercise.  That was interesting.  I know my classmates will say I’m crazy but I am looking forward to the mental health clinical of which there are only two.

Regular clinical starts on Tuesday beginning with hospital orientation at MD Anderson and ORMC. We will have 9 regular clinical and 2 mental health clinical

I am not terribly motivated this semester but I have to get motivated and quick lest I fall behind.
