The Job hunt is over.  I got my first nursing  job today!!  I will be working DAY SHIFT Medical oncology at my current hospital.  I’m so excited, yet scared out of my mind.  I can’t really start until the new pay period which is like the 9th of September so I have a couple more weeks left of RT.  Because they will not let me do both at my facility I need to  to give up RT  for now.  But I do want to maintain my RT license so I will have to get a job PRN somewhere at some point this year.  But for now, I think I have enough to think about learning about nursing on this floor.  I get 120 days orientation which I think is great!  And they so self scheduling on this floor and that is different than with the RT department so I’m excited about that too. I am also excited about being full time and accruing vacation time after being PRN for  about a year.
