Exam 2

Today we took our 2nd exam. It was 85 questions, five of those being dosage calculation questions. (I aced those). there were some questions that I was very unsure about. And I spent about 2.5 hours on the test. Grades were posted about an hour ago. I managed an 84%. Not too shabby. I am happy with that grade considering that I thought I did much worse.

There was a lot of pharmacology on this exam. What drug is used to treat TB? There are actually 4 medications commonly used to treat TB 2 of those 4 were on choices for this particular question, two of them I knew for sure but only one was a prototype drug so I picked it. Isoniazid. Somehow I remembered that. There were other questions about other antibiotics (I’m pretty sure all classes of antibiotics and antiinfectives were representedand antiulcer drugs. I know I missed the one about Calcitrol. And I know I got the questions on the antidiabetics.

Final Achievement exam on Monday. We are told there is no pharmacology on it. That’s good. Going to study a lot tomorrow.
