Grand Floridian Garden View Lounge Tea Room

Tea is back at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Before I got married I took my bridesmaids and their female kids to tea at the Grand Floridian., This was back in 2007. I recently found pictures of this on my late husbands external drive which I didn’t realize made the move with me. I thought i was taking my own external drive when really I took both!

Anyway, the Tea room is back and High Tea is on!! It will Open March 19, 2026 with reservations opening on February 19, 2026. If you want to go you better get your dialing finger ready because I am sure reservations will fill up fast!!

The room will feature touches from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Get ready for the Cheshire Cat, The Mad Hatter and Alice herself. From small bites, both sweet and savory, to a selection of teas, you’ll be on quite the journey with each sip and bite amongst the elegance of this beloved location, now with a whimsical touch. There are options for adults and children alike so everyone can enjoy.

MENU FIRST LOOK

The teas featured will be the tried and true Twining loose Teas a Disney staple for as long as I can remember. (anyone remember the Twining Tea Garden during EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Show every year?). Some of the loose tea flavors will include:

Orangery of Lady Grey: Black tea with orange and Bergamot notes
London Strand Breakfast: Bold Assam black tea with golden-tipped leaves
Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam: Chocolate and roasted hazelnut flavors
Spicy Chai: African black tea and Rooibos with spices
Exotic Mango & Ginger: Green tea base with mango and ginger

Herbal caffeine free Options

Lemongrass & Peppermint: Citrus herbal infusion
Redbush Caramel Velvet: South African redbush with caramel and safflowers
Blackcurrant & Lavender: Herbal blend with autumn notes

You will be able to create a tea that is customized for you. You will also choose an aromatic designed to accompany the tea which is added during the steeping process for a delightful sensory experience While you sip your tea and enjoy conversation with your girl friends.

The Tea room will also feature two signature cocktails. The Mint Tulip featuring Old Forester 1870 Original Batch Kentucky Straight Whiskey, Twining Refreshers Peach Mango Tea Instant Beverage, and mint. A Kentucky Derby favorite and tradition. The other, is the Mar-TEA-ni -with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Twinings Earl Grey Tea, lemon, and honey. Champagne and sparkling wines will also be available.

Non alcoholic specialty teas will also be available. The Curiosi-TEA with Twining Refreshers Strawberry Raspberry Herbal Tea Instant Beverage with a touch of shimmering magic (fairy dust, if you will) Also, the This Way, That Way with Twining Refreshers Peach Mango Tea Herbal Tea Instant Beverage and mint.

Food options abound with this menu! Before you even touch the tea tower of delightful treats you will feast on a tower of delicious savory bites!

Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart: Savory curried chicken salad filling topped with cherry gelée
Footman’s Feast: Wonderland Salmon Crisp with a salmon rillette on a miso brown butter crisp
Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich: A traditional egg salad on beet bread
Caterpillar Cucumber Roll: A delicious combination with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and cucumbers on pumpernickel.

Your sweets tea tower will include:

The Matcha Mad Hatter: Sponge cake with apricot jam and yuzu buttercream
Tea Party Tart: Vanilla tart, coffee custard, and chantilly cream
Flamingo Croquet Choux filled with passion fruit cream and a raspberry crunch
Painting the Rose: Earl Grey-flavored teacake painted table side.

For the fancy among us you can also partake in enhanced offerings such as a Seasonal Cheese Selection or Royal Osetra Caviar with Mini Chive Biscuits and Traditional Accompaniments.

For the Children, Children’s Afternoon Tea features adorably delicious bites, including savory minis like the Queen of Hearts Cheese Toastie, a Fanciful Turkey Wrap, and a Sunflower Seed Butter and Jelly Bun. For dessert, we have the Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron, the Chocolate Brownie Branch, and don’t be late for the vanilla White Rabbit Cupcake.

The afternoon tea service costs $79 per adult and $49 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity.
