The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

23
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Devotion
Recognition is a matter of the heart, not sight. You can attend every
service, read every chapter, and participate in every program while remaining
spiritually blind if your heart isn’t postured correctly. God desires truth in the
innermost parts. David prayed, “Search me, O God, and know my heart.” That’s
vulnerability. That’s preparation. The sermon shared how small groups, Bible
reading, and prayer and fasting prepared a heart to recognize God’s movement.What are you doing to care for the condition of your heart in this new season?
Don’t just set goals for your body, finances, or career—set goals for your spiritual
health. Join a small group. Commit to daily Scripture. Participate in prayer and
fasting. When your heart is prepared, you won’t miss God when He shows up.
